Mounting location
For applications with an economizer, mount the sensor immediately upstream from the outdoor air damper where
it will accurately sense the temperature of the outdoor air entering the mixing box.
For applications without an economizer, mount the sensor in the outdoor air duct near the outdoor air intake or on
the northern exterior of the building.
Do not mount the sensor:
•
In direct sunlight
•
Near the exhaust from air-handling units or compressors
•
Near leakage drafts of indoor air
•
Near shrubbery or trees
•
Under direct water runoff

Field wiring
To wire and mount the OAT sensor

Drill a 7/8" hole in a vertical wall.

Insert a .5-inch piece of electrical metal tubing (EMT).

Attach a .5-inch male waterproof conduit adapter to the end of the EMT.

Remove the knockout in the back of the OAT sensor.

Attach the sensor box to the conduit adapter using the adapter locking nut.

Replace sensor gasket and cover using the 2 screws provided.
