4. The jack labeled “Ext” is normally not used in domestic situations
but is used for OH&S applications in the workplace where an
external strobe/alarm is required.
5. After following the above steps, move the Antenna to the upright
position on the Smart Dialler and place the “Function” switch at
the rear of the Smart Dialler to either “Mute” or “Alarm”. If you
press the yellow call button on the Wireless pendant and the
Smart Dialler gives off an audible chime, then this indicates that
the Smart Dialler and Wireless pendant are functioning correctly.

Your 240-Volt AC Power Adaptor has a built in fuse
that will blow if more than 265 volts is recorded. This is to help
prevent any damage to your CareAlert Smart Dialler in the event
of a Power Surge. Should this fuse blow you will need to purchase
a new Power Adaptor online. Power Surges are not covered by warranty.
