Recording your voice message continued:
1.
Ensure that the “Function” switch on the rear of the Smart
Dialler is switched to “SET”.

Pick up the handset of the telephone that is connected to the
Smart Dialler. This handset may be a fixed phone or a cordless
phone. The Smart Dialler will work with either. If however it is
a cordless phone, you will need to push the appropriate button
(eg call or talk etc...) that would normally give you a dial tone.
*Please note however no dial tone will be heard once you have
the dialler in the set position.

To record your personal message, follow these procedures.
Example:
Immediately after you press the
“*”
key and then the number
“6” key, you will hear a short beep sound. Begin recording your message
immediately after hearing this beep. The recording time is a maximum
of 45 seconds. After completing your message, it is important that you
immediately press the “#” Key to stop recording. Your message can be
changed at any time by following the above procedures.
4. Once you have recorded your message you can hear it play back
by pressing the
“*”
key and then the number “7” key, through the
telephone handset. You will hear a beep sound followed by your
message.
It is important that you speak clearly and precisely into your telephone handset
when recording your message to ensure that the clarity of your voice is kept to
an optimum. The quality of your message may be determined by the quality of
your phone. Please note to minimise unit expense, the memory chip in your dialler
is designed to provide an acceptable voice recording and not a high definition
recording. If you hear two sharp beeps prior to finishing your message, it means
your message is too long.
It is most important that you use the formal recorded message (previous page)
exactly as it is, in the event that it is received by the emergency services.
We recommend that you change the combination code of your KeySafe lock if it
has been disclosed via your recorded message to any outside sources. This is to
protect your own security.
NOTE:
Your recorded message will need to be updated
with the NEW combination KeySafe code after any change that may occur.
