INSTALLATION

Each appliance is provided internally with a 14-way binary dip-switch, the combi-

nation of which must correspond to the combination set on the two dip-switches

located in the access key (see fig.1 page 6).

If the two combinations correspond it will be possible to carry on with the installa-

tion procedure otherwise the control panel buttons will remain inoperable.

To personalise the access combination proceed as follows:

1. Open the container so as to gain access to the upper pcb card;

2. Undo the four screws holding the pcb card in place, remove the card and turn

it over, the dip-switch is located on the underside of the card;

3. Set the desired combination on the dip-switch and then set the corresponding

combination on the two serial access keys supplied with the kit;

4. Replace the pcb card and close the container.

Switch on the power either by connecting the device to the mains or by connecting

the stand-by battery and then verify the correct functioning of the two serial access

keys by inserting them into the slot on the front panel. The led Key-Enabled will

light up indicating that the key has been accepted.

If the led fails to light up but the code combinations on the ACD-148 and the ac-

cess keys are the same contact your dealer.
