WIRELESS ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM ACD-148

ACD-148

is an access control system which uses a quartz radiocontrol as a per-

sonal identification device.

The radiocontrol CARDIN mod.

S48

 is specifically used in the

ACD-148

 system as

its principal characteristic is the user code which is randomly created and stored

in a non-volatile memory inside the radiocontrol itself.

Nobody, not even the owner of the specific device, is able to discover his/her own

code nor are they able to reproduce another identical code.

The central unit of the

ACD-148

is based on a CPU which is able to control up 2000

codes referring to 4 different entrances and exits which can also be subdivided

into 4 different zones.

The following types of operation are possible for each code:

1.  MEMORISATION OF A NEW USER CODE

2.  MODIFYING THE USER’S PERSONAL DETAILS

2.  CODE ENABLING/DISABLING

3.  DISTINCT CODE ENABLING/DISABLING FOR EACH

OF THE 4 DIFFERENT ENTRANCES AND EXITS

4.  CODE DELETION

All these operations can be carried out on site, if the operator is in possession of

the encoded access key, or remote access is available via a terminal or personal

computer network.

The device is equipped with an internal random code generator and with an inter-

face device which allows the codes to be transferred to the transmitter via direct

coupling.

The codes and user details are stored in non-volatile memory and therefore are

maintained even during blackouts.

For this reason there is also an erasing command for all the codes maintained in

memory.

The

ACD-148

can be operated both on site or via the use of a terminal and the

principal operations can be carried out using either of these solutions. To complete

the user details however a terminal or personal computer is required.

The liquid crystal display allows you to follow all the operations performed by the

device and verify the completion of each action.

When an enabled code is received one of the 4 internal relays, depending on which

radio control channel has received the signal, is activated and the following infor-

mation is indicated on the display.

- User number

- Activated channel

- Date and time of activation

If a code is used which is not present in memory a warning message will ap-

pear on the display, even if the code is compatible with the S48 handshaking

procedure, but the relative channel will not be activated.

The following operations are possible via the serial connection:

-  modifying the system configuration parameters, i.e. date,time,baud rate,password

etc.;

29

After an enabled user has been recognised the corresponding relay is activated.

The  relay  activation  time,  i.e.  the  time  during  which  the  normally  open  contact

remains closed can be chosen.

The relay default time is 500 mS. Choosing option 3 from menu level C will allow

you to modify this time

The following message appears on the screen:

CURRENT DELAY: 500 mS

ARE YOU SURE? [Y/N] >>

Choosing N the following message will appear

DELAYS AVAILABLE

1.  [500  mS ]

2.  [1 Sec.    ]

3.  [2 Sec.    ]

4.  [4 Sec.    ]

ENTER [ 1- 4 ]  >>>

If you choose option 2 the memorised delay time will be 1 second, i.e. the relay

will be released 1 second after it has been activated.

To  cancel  the  operation  and  maintain  the  current  delay  time  press  the  <ESC>

key.

C4.

Output activation

The relay in output can be activated directly by choosing option 4 from menu level

C. The following message appears on the screen:

SELECT THE OUTPUT TO BE ACTIVATED

1. Relay1 [ CHA ]

2. Relay2 [ CHB ]

3. Relay3 [ CHC ]

4. Relay4 [ CHD ]

5. END

    ENTER >>>

The chosen relay will be activated immediately and will be released after the delay

time set in C3

D. Information lists
