Note down the error code displayed in the display.

Turn the printer off, then disconnect the cables from the 
printer.

 

(1) Turn the printer off.

(2) If a USB cable is connected, turn the computer off, and then disconnect the 

USB cable from the printer.

(3) Unplug the power plug from the AC power outlet.

(4) Remove the ground wire from the ground terminal.

Contact your local authorized Canon dealer to request 
service.

 

When contacting your Canon dealer, please report also the error code which you
