before the implementation of the third-party software if planning a pre-installation or the user administrator cannot confirm it at
initial startup.

■ Remedy To Be Performed when the License Conditions Are Not Agreed

If the user does not agree with the license conditions, the system software cannot be used; therefore, follow the procedure shown
below to downgrade the version.

1. Refer to the appendix "Backup List" and back up the setting values.

Since the machine internal storage is formatted later, the set value should be backed up to external storage such as USB.

2. Downgrade the version of the system software.

When downgrading the version of the system software, downgrade it to the latest version of the platform that has been used.
Example: If it is updated from V3.2 to V3.3, downgrade to the latest version of V3.2.

3. Check the installed MEAP application and download the license.

Access SMS from the remote UI and check the installed MEAP application. Disable the license file and download it as a
license file for reinstallation as needed. (Refer to 

“Procedure Downloading/ Removing an Invalidated License File” on page

92

4. Set "1" in the following service mode.

COPIER > Function > SYSTEM > HD-CLEAR

5. Execute the following service mode.

COPIER > FUNCTION > CLEAR > MN-CON
The host machine will automatically restart, and the setting values will be deleted and the partition will be cleared.

6. Reinstall the MEAP application checked in step 3.

Using the license file downloaded in step 3, install the MEAP application that had been installed.
If the license has not been downloaded, in the same way as after replacing the Storage, request the Support Dept. of the
sales company to issue a license file for reinstallation. (Refer to 

“Procedure for Downloading a License for Forwarding” on

page 94
