NOTE:
• Obtain network environment information from the system administrator.
• When the network settings are changed, "Apply Settings" is displayed on the screen.
● Preparations When Using a Sub Line
Certain equipment is required when using E-RDS with the use of a sub line.
Equipment required for the sub line use
If connecting via wireless LAN (sub line):
• Wireless LAN router
If connecting via wired LAN (sub line):
• USB-LAN adapter
CAUTION:
Firmware is pre-installed with the USB-LAN adapter driver, which accepts USB-LAN adapters by certain manufacturers
only.
For details on mobile routers and USB-LAN adapters to use (e.g. manufacturers, purchasing), follow instructions from your
sales company.
■ Procedure for Setting E-RDS
1. Log in as an administrator.
2. Make sure E-RDS is enabled. If it is disabled, enable it.
COPIER > Function > INSTALL > E-RDS
3. Choose a connection line.
Counter Key > Monitoring Service > Send Method
Only the system administrator can set the connection line selection.
4. Perform a communication test with Remote Monitoring Server.
Counter Key > Monitoring Service > Communication Test > Start Test
CAUTION:
When the service mode below is "1", the communication test (COM-TEST) fails with an error (0x840f0003).
If the RMS-SW is "1", change to "0" and turn OFF/ON the main power before setting the E-RDS.
COPIER > OPTION > DSPLY-SW > RMS-SW
NOTE:
You can also perform a communication test through COM-TEST in service mode.
COM-LOG shows the status of communication with Remote Monitoring Server. Performing a communication test with Remote
Monitoring Server allows E-RDS to retrieve scheduled delivery data and start monitoring.
