Using the Operator Panel

Selecting a Control Mode

The printer’s Control mode determines whether the BJ-30 printer functions
in Canon BJ mode or Epson LQ mode. In Canon BJ mode, the printer
emulates any Canon Bubble Jet printer or the IBM Proprinter X24E. In
Epson LQ mode, the printer emulates the Epson LQ printers.

To set the printer’s Control mode, follow these steps:

1.

Press the

MENU 

button once.

The printer beeps once when it enters Menu mode.

2.

Press the 

MENU

button two more times.

❏

The display shows the two control modes.

3.

Press the

button to select the desired control mode.

4.

When the desired Control mode is blinking, press the 

ON LINE

button.

❏

The 

ON LINE

light comes on.

❏

Printing in the selected control mode is enabled.
