MLTDR-W-50S User's Guide
Elements that are created automatically within the Instrument node for the TDR are based on the configuration
parameters. The parameters are used by the TDR200 to obtain measurements and are summarized in the
following table:
Array Label
Description
Imported Name
TDR_Waveform(1)
Configuration of TDR averaging, or the number of samples
averaged internally for each dataset. Default is 4.
Avg_Config
TDR_Waveform(2)
Propagation Velocity (Vp), as a percentage between 0 and 1.0.
VP
TDR_Waveform(3)
Number of points in the waveform, should match the number of
Point elements that are defined. Valid range of data is 20-248.
Points
TDR_Waveform(4)
The distance, in meters, to the start of the waveform. Typically,
0 is configured to have the TDR200 auto-configure the start.
Cable_Length
TDR_Waveform(5)
The length, in meters, of the waveform that is being analyzed.
Window_Length
TDR_Waveform(6)
Not applicable to deformation monitoring. Default is 0.
Probe_Length
TDR_Waveform(7)
Not applicable to deformation monitoring. Default is 0.
Probe_Offset
TDR_Waveform(8)
Multiplier, or scaling factor. Default is 1.0.
Multiplier
TDR_Waveform(9)
Offset, or offset value. Default is 0.
Offset
TDR_Waveform(10)
Type of noise rejection to be applied to measurement in Hz.
Default is 0. 50Hz and 60Hz are options.
Noise_Frequency
TDR_Waveform(11)
Applies weighted moving average to reduce noise of TDR trace.
Valid range is 0-10.
Filter_Level
TDR_Waveform(12)
Selects the desired algorithm for calculating end of probe.
Length_Algorithm

Point_nnnn | Value
TDR_Waveform(1013)
Calculated length of the cable in points.
Calculated_Length
TDR_Waveform(1014)
Lead wire length in points.
Lead_Length
TDR_Waveform(1015)
Adjusted length of the cable in points (Calculated length - Lead
length)

Hint
‒ Only the Multiplier and Offset Elements affect the data reduction, otherwise they are simply references for the
TDR configuration.
