Chapter 4

Connecting the Data and Power

Cables

RFU-D-HP is connected to the IDU via a standard CAT-5e or preferably CAT-6/6a cable, with RJ-45 connectors on the
RFU and an RJ-45 connector on the IDU. They can also be connected to the IDU over optical fiber cables via the optical
(SFP) RFU connections on the IDU.

Note!

For a description of the data and power interfaces, see Figure 3.

An external DC power cable is required to supply power to the RFU. The DC power cable is connected to the DC power
interface (PWR).

CAT-5e/CAT-6 cables are connected to P1.

Optical fiber cables are connected to P2.
