The intervention of the amperometric
protection causes the arrest of the motor
and the switching on of the thermal
protection LED. To reset the function,
press the RESET button.
For the calibration of the protection
current, the pump must be installed
and immersed in water.
If the motor current is less than 10%
of the set value, the protection is
activated and the motor stops (no
water,
float
switch
failure,
disconnected motor cable, broken
impeller, etc.).
To set the amperometric protection, the control
panel must be open and electrically fed.
ATTENTION.
Control panel open and
electrically fed. Operate only on the
trimmer to adjust the current.
Setting the protection current of pump.
Reference: potentiometer on the base circuit
board and the red LED on the DR 1000 electronic
card on the rear of the control panel door.
Switch on pump and check the red LED.
If the LED is off, slowly rotate the trimmer in an
anticlockwise direction until the LED starts
flashing.
The flashing LED indicates that the amperometric
protection has been activated.
Slightly rotate the trimmer in a clockwise direction
until the LED switches off.
Slightly rotate the trimmer again to leave a safety
margin before the protection intervenes.
7. Operating
ATTENTION:
An automatic test for pump operation is
made after 48 hours inactivity.
7.1. Operating with 2 float
switches
See the connection diagram of the float switches
at paragraph 5.3.1.
Float switch G1 starts up and stops the pump.
Float switch G2, with a higher intervention level
than float switch G1, acts as a high-level alarm
and starts up pump if float switch 1 is faulty.
Activation of the 2 float switches function.
The control panel is set by the manufacturer for
the 2 float switches functioning. This setting, at the
moment of switching on, causes the switching on
of the FAILURE LED for approximately 1 second.
Proceed as follows, if the control panel is set to
operate with 3 float switches, whilst the 2 float
switches function is required:
- switch the power off by rotating the main
selector switch with the door-locking device,
- press the AUT-STOP pump button and keeping
the button pressed, rotate the main selector
switch with the door-locking device and switch
on the current,
- wait until the FAILURE LED lights for
approximately 1 second and release the button,
- the control panel is now set to function with 2
float switches.
