Troubleshooting
Could the UM-2G’s [MIDI THRU] switch be turned ON?
Set the [MIDI THRU] switch to
OFF
.
Are the MIDI cables connected correctly?
Check the MIDI cable connections (p. 25).
Is the sound module set correctly?
Check the settings and volume of your sound module.
Is the UM-2G’s USB indicator lit?
If the USB indicator is not lit, the computer has not recognized the UM-2G.
Make sure that the UM-2G is correctly connected to the computer.
The driver must also be installed in order for the computer to recognize the UM-2G.

Could the sound module be set to Local On?
Could your sequencer software’s Thru function be turned on?
If duplicate notes are sounded (i.e., if your sound module plays doubled notes), change the
settings as follows. For details, refer to the owner’s manual for the equipment you’re using.
