Bridge Counters Screen Fields
Frames Received:
Displays the number of frames received at the port.
Discard Inbound:
Displays the total number of valid frames that were received at the
Ethernet port but then filtered by the bridge. Not applicable for the
Remote port.
Forward Outbound:
Displays the number of frames forwarded successfully to the appropriate
port.
Discard - Lack of Buffers:
Indicates the number of packets that were discarded by the bridge because
of a lack of buffer space to maintain the data.
Discard - Transit Delay Exceeded:
Displays the number of frames that were intended for forwarding but
were discarded when the maximum time period set for transmission was
exceeded.
Discard On Error:
Displays the number of frames received that were greater than 1518 bytes,
not including preamble and CRC. Not applicable for the Remote port.
To view a breakdown of the network errors, select the NETWORK
ERRORS option at the bottom of the Bridge Counters Screen.

The Network Errors Option
The Network Errors Screen, Figure 5-8, lists the network errors that have
occurred per port.
To view the breakdown of these errors:
1. Highlight the NETWORK ERRORS option at the bottom of the
Bridge Counters Screen.
