Configuring Port Statistics Thresholds
For each port statistic, you can specify a threshold that, when crossed, causes an alarm
to be sent to the collecting node.
Press
[A]
at the Statistics Menu. When prompted, enter:
●
Statistic level
:
P
for Port.
●
RLP
:
0
on FRM/2/3,
0–2
on FRM. (Default is
0
.)
●
Port
:
0–7
. (Default is
0
.)
A menu similar to the following figure will be displayed.

Changing a threshold changes the database value. Press
[F7]
to write the
change to system memory.
A threshold is either a number or a percentage, depending on the statistic. The valid
range for any statistic is
0–65535.
(Default =
0.
) When the measured value for the sta-
tistic crosses the threshold (in either direction), an alarm is generated.
