About this Manual
This manual describes how to install, cable, and configure the DIGITAL MultiSwitch
Fast Ethernet Hub 924TX in a DIGITAL MultiSwitch 900 chassis, a DIGITAL
MultiSwitch 900-4, a DEChub ONE docking station or a DEChub ONE-MX docking
station.
The DIGITAL MultiSwitch Fast Ethernet Hub 924TX is a 24-port 100 Mb/s Fast
Ethernet Hub. The 24 100BASE-TX ports can be separated into two banks of 12 ports
each or operate as a single 24-port hub. Each bank can have a separate uplink. The
module has 24 8-pin MJ ports for 100BASE-TX connections. The 25th and 26th ports
support optional Modular Media Interfaces (MM-100) that are installed in the
module’s expansion slots. Each MM-100 provides either a 100BASE-FX or a
100BufFX port.
Intended Audience
This manual is intended for use by personnel who will install, set up, cable, and
configure the DIGITAL MultiSwitch Fast Ethernet Hub 924TX in a DIGITAL
MultiSwitch 900 chassis, DIGITAL MultiSwitch 900-4, or a DEChub ONE or a
DEChub ONE-MX docking station.
