Performance verification test
The verification procedure is based on the measuring of the resistance at the decade output terminals
with a standard multimeter in recommended points.
6.1
Required equippment
You need an ohmmeter with a nominal accuracy of 0.001 % in range 1
Ω
to 1.2 M
Ω
(e.g. Wavetek 1281,
FLUKE 8508 or similar).
6.2
Decade setting
Switch the decade to resistance mode.
Connect the standard multimeter to the output terminals of the decade.
Use four-wire connection.
6.3
Testprocedure
•
Checking output resistance on terminals R4W.
•
Checking output resistance on terminals R2W.
6.4
Verifying parameters
To perform a parameter verification test:
Switch on both instruments.
Wait at least for one hour
During this time both instruments have to stabilize at a laboratory ambient with a temperature of

2 °C.
After the waiting period:
Connect the resistance decade terminals R4W to the standard ohm-meter (multimeter).
Set 4W<2W value to 10 k
Ω
.
This value is set at the “SETUP” menu.
Check the resistance value at the checkpoints according to table: “Maximum deviations (R4W)”.
