Additional accessories
For detailed information about suitable accessories, refer to the
catalogue or Internet page of the manufacturer.
• Control unitRC310: weather-compensated control unit with outside
temperature sensor; connected to BUS; connected to outside

to connection T1 when using stand-alone alternative heat source.

Installation
▶ Install the module on a wall, (
Fig. 4 to Fig. 6 at end of document),
on a mounting rail (
Fig. 7) or in an assembly.
▶ When removing the module from the mounting rail, refer to Fig. 8 at

3.2
Installation of the temperature sensor at the buffer
cylinder
When using dual buffer cylinders in which DHW is heated in the upper
part of the buffer cylinder, position the upper buffer cylinder
temperature sensor TB1 so that it cannot be affected by the DHW
heating. TB1 can be positioned at roughly 50-70 % of the height
between the heating flow (

) and heating return (

). Position the hot
water temperature sensor TW1 as high up as possible so it cannot be
affected by the return (

shows the PR...-5 type buffer cylinder as an example.
When using buffer cylinders heated by a single heat source, position the
upper buffer cylinder sensor TB1 so that the required comfort is
achieved in the event of sudden heat energy demand. We recommend
installing TB1 at roughly 60-80 % of the buffer cylinder height, because
the volume above the sensor serves as a heat buffer.
When using an alternative heat source with control signal input,
connection of TB1 (switch-on and modulation sensor) and TB3
(switch-off sensor) is absolutely essential. The sensor TB2 can be
installed as an option to obtain information on the fill level of the buffer
cylinder and does not affect the control.
