1. Never ever rest the FastFerment™ on its collection ball.
2. Always make sure to clean the unit thoroughly before use with cleaning product and a soft sponge
or cloth. Never use anything hard like as a brush or scraper to clean the unit. It is important to avoid
scratching the inside of the FastFerment™ to ensure everything can funnel through properly and to
avoid contamination by residual dirt.
3. It is advised to completely disassemble the unit and clean it thoroughly every 6 months. This will
help ensure the longevity of the parts and the quality of your beer & wine. Extra care and attention
must be taken to ensure the plastic threads are not damaged when taking apart or putting the unit
back together.
4. Mount FastFerment™ out of direct sunlight.
5. It’s best to avoid long-term aging in the unit unless head space is filled with CO
2
, not oxygen.
6. Do not apply direct heat such as a flame or heat gun to the system. It will melt the plastic.
7. Thermowell Cleaning. The Thermowell is removable from the unit. The Thermowell is threaded into
the stainless steel nut in the plastic wall of the FastFerment™. Make sure to use Teflon Teak Tape on
the threads of the Thermowell when putting back in.
8. Don’t use hot water to clean the grey plastic parts around the valve, use lukewarm water up to
60 °C instead.
