Brief Description
The slave displaying instrument (instrument) distinguishes in principle two operating
modes:
The hexadecimal display mode and pure numerical measured-value processing mode.
Note: See also section Description of Commands for Interfaces.
Note: Further information is obtained from the data sheet.
The delivery state is the hexadecimal display mode.
Hexadecimal Display Mode
Following signs can be transmitted and displayed:
Sign:
+, - or none

Err.2
(Error: the sign "+ " cannot be represented)
Measured-Value Processing Mode
In this mode, the instrument functions like a measuring instrument that does not fetch
measured values from an A/D converter, but via a serial interface. Several functions such as
limit monitoring are provided.
Measured values (numbers) can be processed in the following ranges:
±
0.0001 to
±
19999
Examples:
Transmission Display
-1.2345
-1.2345
123
+ 0123
…
±
1.8.8.8.8.
(Test)
-123+45
Err.2
(Error: invalid number format)
In addition to the measured value transmission, a series of interface commands is available.
