Check properties
Before installing the IQ+FLOW®, check that the product specifications match your requirements:
·
Instrument type
o
red label: gas flow (IQF)
o
yellow label: pressure (IQP)
·
Flow/pressure rate
·
Media to be used in the instrument
·
Input and output signal
·
Upstream and downstream pressure(s)
·
Operating temperature
Note that the serial number shown on the right does not necessarily reflect the actual specifications.
·
IQ+FLOW® gas flow instruments are designed for dry, clean, non-corrosive gases
·
IQ+FLOW® pressure instruments are designed for dry, clean, non-corrosive, non-flammable gases
Do not use the IQ+FLOW® for other gas types.
If you have a question about the product or if you feel the product does not meet the specifications agreed upon, do not
hesitate to contact us. To enable us to help you quickly and effectively, make sure to have the serial number ready
whenever seeking contact with Bronkhorst about a specific item. The serial number (SN) is the key to the original purchase
order.

2.2
Check pressure rating
Bronkhorst® instruments are pressure tested to at least 1.5 times the specified working process
conditions and outboard leak tested to at least 2 * 10
-9
mbar l/s Helium. The tested pressure is specified
on the instrument with a red label.
·
Before installation, make sure that the tested pressure is in accordance with the safety factor of your application
·
If the pressure test label is missing or if the specified pressure is insufficient, the instrument must not be used and should
be returned to the factory
·
The maximum operating pressure must never exceed the tested pressure
·
Disassembling the instrument and/or replacing parts of it will invalidate the pressure test specification.
2.3
Check piping
For reliable measurement, always make sure that the fluid stream is clean. Use
filters to ensure a clean, moisture- and oil-free gas stream. Recommended pore-
size: 7 µm. If back flow can occur, a downstream filter is recommended too. Be
aware of the pressure drop caused by using filters.
