Instructions for use halogen floodlight with motion sensor
Model: RP 150 W / PL 150 P and RP 500 W / PL 500 P

Warning

: Ensure electricity is switched off at mains before installation, replacement of bulb or servicing.

Please read through all following instructions before attempting to install the unit.

The Brennenstuhl halogen lamps  must be

connected by an approved specialist in accordance with VDE 0100 using a three-core conductor. The earth wire (green-
yellow) must absolutely be connected to the medium terminal. Please refer to

mark in the connection box.

Important

: This product has been designed and manufactured to automatically control floodlight at outdoor area once the integral

infrared detector has sensed a human presence. This is not intended for any other application or use.

I) Installation and standard wiring instructions

1. Not mounting at the vibrational surface.
2. Mounting position: The floodlight should, ideally, be fixed with the wall fixing bracket as per Fig. 1.

Minimum distance from
illuminated area 1 metre.

3. Mark the hole positions for fixing bracket onto the wall. Drill and plug the wall at the marked positions. Screw the fixing bracket to

the wall with suitable screw (not supplied). See Fig. 2.

4. Unscrew the junction box cover and remove diffuser and rubber seal.
5. Put your 3-core mains cable into the junction box through the plastic stud and rubber gasket.
6. Connect the 3 wires as per Fig. 3.
7. Replace the junction cover. Take care not to lose the rubber gasket on the cover.
8. Undo Screw/s on the front glass cover and hinge open. Insert bulb into spring loaded holders. Do not touch the bulb with bare

hand. Close glass cover and tighten. Ensure that all seals and grommets are secure see Fig. 4.

9. Mount the unit to the wall fixing bracket with replacing the two bolts. Adjust the floodlight to desired position and tighten the two

bolts (refering to the mounting instructions, Fig. 7).

Note:

In order to increase the service life of the halogen lamp, only use/mount the spotlight horizontally (+/– 15°).

II) Operating instructions of movement detector

1. You can see the detection area of movement detector(PIR) as per Fig. 5. You can select the scanning field of PIR by adjusting the

rotating adjuster and moving the PIR sensor as show in Fig. 6.

2. You can select the relay time (from 15 ±5 seconds to 3 ±1 minutes) and Lux level (from daylight to night) by adjusting TIME and

LUX knobs see Fig. 6.

3. The (

)

position indicates that the PIR can works during daylight and night, the ( ) position indicates that the PIR only work at

night, and you can select the desired Lux control level by yourself.

4. Must loose the cope stud before rotating PIR Sensor.
5. Adjusting the detection area by rotating the PIR Sensor and floodlight.
6. Adjusting the duration time: Turning the TIME KNOB from – to + will increase the duration time (refering to the Fig. 6).
7. Adjusting the Lux control level: Turning the LUX KNOB clockwise to set a time between day and night to switch on the light.
8. Adjusting the sensitivity: Turning the SENS KNOB from – to + will increase the sensitivity (refering to the Fig. 6).
9. Walk-Test: Determining the detection area by Walk-Test. Once the PIR sensor receives a valid trigger signal (such as movement of

a human body) within its detection area, the floodlight will be turned on for the preset period of time. Please placing the LUX con-
trol to »Day« position and the TIME control to minimum (-) during Walk-Test.

Important: Never attempt to remove the lens cover, as this will damage the PIR and render all gurantee invalid.

Warning: The floodlight must be earthed. Before touching the floodlight, please switch off and allow it to cool.
A damaged glass lens has to be replaced by an original one of
Brennenstuhl before further operation of the halogen spotlight.

Please note the warning mark (label) on the floodlight.
