Chapter 8: Installing hutch options.
Referring to Fig. 8C, insert cam screws from hardware package
#1 in holes marked with a
red
circle using a cordless drill.
Insert white cam fittings from hardware package #19 in holes
marked with a
green
circle using a rubber mallet.
3 Drawers And
Night Shelf
STEP 3
The Night Shelf is a flat surface that works the same way the
drawers do. The inner portion of the drawer slides will attach
to the sides of the night shelf.
The sides will measure the same
depth as the drawers, the front will measure the same width as
the drawers.
The tab on the slide will align flush with the front
of the shelf and the bottom of the slide will align flush with the
bottom of the shelf. Although the shelf appears square, it is not,
so you’ll need to measure to prevent mistakenly attaching the slides to the wrong side.
Insert the Night Shelf at the top drawer location, then insert the drawers, starting at
the bottom with drawer box A, then B and lastly insert C. To access the Night Shelf,
you’ll open the top drawer, then pull out the shelf. Drawers will first appear stiff to
open/close, but will become smoother over time.
