The backwater valve device prevents contamination in the event of a sewage back up.
•
The cross connection control device prevents contamination of the potable water system
•
The freshwater bypass valve provides water to toilets incase of power failure or maintenance.
•
The grey water bypass prevents fixture drains from backing up incase of a filter obstruction.
•
The vent and overflow pipes must be at least the same size as the inlet pipe (maximum 3”)
•
If an optional pre-filter is employed on the grey water in line, an additional overflow between the
•
pre-filter and grey water in tank connection must be installed.
The grey water bypass must be lower than any fixture suppling grey water to the RGW system to
•
prevent fixture backup.
