5.4 FINAL DC VOLTAGE TESTING & SETTINGS
After all Pulse MD units have been installed, wired, and powered up, confirm the DC voltage is correct for the installation
using the following steps.
1. If the system is set up to run pulsation, start all devices by putting the detachers in the milking and manual
mode so they do not turn off during this test.
2. If monitoring only, make sure the power supply is turned on.
3. With the system fully loaded, go to the farthest device from the power supply on each wire loom in the barn
and take a voltage reading. To run this test, unplug the last device and connect the voltage meter into the
connector.
4. If the measurement is less than 22V on any of the devices being tested, make adjustments to the power supply
if possible (see
Section 6.1
) and retest the last device on each loom in the parlor.
5. If the voltage reading is now above 22V, the system is fully tested and OK.
6. If the voltage on the last device of each loom in the parlor does not read at least 22V, the problem must be
found and corrected before the system can be commissioned.
Note!
Failure to correct systems running with less than 22V on the last device of each wire loom will void the
warranty. BouMatic will assume no responsibility or liability for systems commissioned in this manner.
