4.1.3.2 PULSE MD WITH NON-SMARTLITE DETACHERS
Pulse MD with non-SmartLite detachers, has the ability to recieve the milking signal in three different ways: from
24VDC signal, from a vacuum switch, or from an air switch. The, Milking Signal Connector is connected to the detacher
in one of these three options to get a signal that sends information to Pulse MD when the milking process is started.

From 24 VDC signal,
this is the default configuration. The Milking signal connector is connected in parallel to the shut
off control valve. The shut off control valve needs to be activated with a DC voltage signal from 16VDC to 30 VDC. See
Figures 13
and
14
. It is possible to read the cylinder control valve, rather than the shutoff control valve, as long as the
drop/lift feature is not used by the detacher system.
