CAUTION
DO NOT rely on the power trim/tilt system or
tilt support lever on your outboard to maintain
proper ground clearance for trailering. THE
OUTBOARD TILT SUPPORT LEVER IS NOT
INTENDED TO SUPPORT THE OUTBOARD FOR
TRAILERING
Trailering the Engine
It is best to trailer your boat with the outboard tilted
down in a vertical operating position.
However, if additional road clearance is required
due to railroad crossings, driveway clearance, trailer
bounce, etc., the outboard should be tilted up and
supported using an accessory outboard support
device.
