1. Place the log splitter on flat, dry, solid ground.
2. Block both wheels to prevent your
log splitter from moving during operation.
3. Refer to the Engine Operator’s manual provided with
your log splitter for instructions on starting and stopping the engine.
The control handle has three positions.
See FIGURE 14.
•
FORWARD
— To split wood in the forward direction move the control handle to the FORWARD position which will engage
the wedge splitting the log.
• NEUTRAL
— To stop the wedge simply release the control handle which will return to the NEUTRAL position. As soon as
the handle is released the wedge should stop moving at this point.
• REVERSE
— To split wood in the reverse direction move the control handle to the REVERSE position which will engage
the wedge backwards splitting another log.
NOTE:
Do not continue to hold the handle in the FORWARD or REVERSE positions when the wedge is fully extended or
retracted, this may cause damage to the machine.
WARNING!
If the control handle on your log splitter is not functioning properly, STOP USE IMMEDIATELY
and contact an authorized service dealer.

Do not attempt to service, repair or replace control valve. Contact an authorized service dealer.
WARNING!
Do not attempt to adjust or modify the control valve or the hydraulic system from its original
manufacturer settings in any way.
