General notes for property damages and product damages
English
3.3
Electrical connection
NOTICE
Overheating or condensation due to insufficient cooling
Possibility of temporary interruption of the welding process, a reduced
useful life of the product, destruction of the device, damage
to the electrical equipment, unexpected plant reactions!
Make sure that the conditions for sufficient cooling set forth in the
technical data are met.
Make sure that air-cooled devices are equipped with forced cooling.
Cooling by means of convection is not sufficient!
Make sure that no condensation forms on water-conducting components.
If that is not possible, a sufficient discharge and protection against
condensation must be provided.
Use air conditioning systems, if required.
NOTICE
Incorrect voltage supply
Possibility of damage to the electrical equipment!
Check whether the supply voltage coincides with the nominal voltage
indicated on the nameplate of the product!
The product may only connected to the mains if these values coincide.
_
Make sure that fluctuations or deviations of the supply voltage
from the nominal value always range within the permitted tolerance
limits (refer to technical data).
Capacitive or inductive interferences in the cables
Possibility of function disturbances!
Install the power lines and control cables separately.
The following clearances are recommended:
> 100 mm with parallel installation of cables < 10m,
> 250 mm with parallel installation of cables > 10m.
The product should be installed in close proximity to the welding
equipment in order to keep the lengths of the necessary connection cords
to a minimum.
Plugging or unplugging modules or connectors/terminals into/from live
systems
Possibility of damage to the electrical equipment, unexpected
plant reactions!
Unless described otherwise, never unplug or plug any connectors/
terminals on live systems.
The timer's power supply should always be disconnected before
inserting/removing any timer modules.
