10.6 Mounting the VEP 15.6 housing devices
10.6.1 Installation notes
●
When mounting the embedded terminal, ensure an ergonomic operation. Ad-
ditionally, ensure that all moving machine components can be seen by the op-
erator at any time!
●
Avoid mounting locations exposed to direct sunlight, as the screen readability
is reduced and additional heat development can occur
●
When mounting the embedded terminal, ensure an easy access to the connec-
tor panel (top side)
●
Provide a minimum space of 50 mm (on all sides of the device) for sufficient
cooling and for cable routing
●
Lay all connecting cables in loops and use strain reliefs for all cables
●
Keep the maximum distance possible from interference sources
●
To maintain the degree of protection, use only cable grommets that fit to the
cable cross-sections for the cable bushing

move the screws of the cover (see

●
Connect all cables
●
After connecting all the cables, tighten the screws of the cover again
●
Ensure that the sealing of the cover is not damaged
●
Mount the cover correctly and fasten the screws with the correct tightening
torque
Loss of degree of protection due to incorrect
opening of the housing cover.
