14.4.1 Battery exchange in the built-in device
At the built-in device, the battery is installed in the PC box on the rear side of
the device.
1. Remove all Ethernet and USB cables from the PC box.
2. To avoid loss of data while exchanging the battery, connect a second bat-
tery at the "XBAT" plug (see
④
in
fig. 9-1 "Interfaces of the built-in devices
(for names, refer to the following table)" on page 16
3. Disconnect the device.
4. Remove the four fastening screws of the PC box.
5. Tilt the PC box to the bottom.
6. Remove the old battery and connect the new battery. Ensure that the bat-
tery plugs are correctly engaged.
7. Tighten the screws of the PC box again.
14.4.2 Battery exchange in the housing device
At the housing device, the battery is located under the cover on the rear side of
the device.
1. Do not switch off the device to avoid loss of data while exchanging the bat-
tery.
2. Remove the screws of the cover on the rear side and then remove the cov-
er.
3. Remove the old battery and connect the new battery. Ensure that the bat-
tery plugs are correctly engaged.
4. Tighten the screws of the cover again.
Use only batteries permitted as spare part for the device.
