Motion Only and Continuous Recording

The DVR4C can be set up for

Motion Only

Continuous

, and

Motion Only + Auto Snapshot

recording by configuring information in three (3) of the menu tabs:

Recording

Profiles

, and

Event Setup

. Motion Only recording is used to record only when motion is detected,

Continuous recording is used to record non-stop, and Motion Only + Auto Snapshot is used to
record only when motion is detected along with an automatic snapshot image.

6.1

Recording Tab

The

Recording

tab allows the user to set four (4) customized parameters (

Weekday Day

Weekday Night

Weekend Day

, and

Weekend Night

) for the time period in which recording is

set. For example, a user who has a high traffic store during the weekday may want to set the
DVR4C’s

Weekday Day

 tab for

Superior

 quality with

15 IPS

. In addition, if the user does not

have much traffic or the store is closed on weekday nights, the user may set the

Weekday

Night

 tab to

Medium

 quality with

7.5 IPS

The event and pre-event recording times are used to define the specified amount of time that
the DVR4C records when motion is detected. For example, if the user sets the

Event

Recording Time

 to

Follows

, the DVR4C begins to record as soon as motion is detected and

stops recording when the motion has stopped. The user may also set the

Pre-event Recording

Time

. For example, if the user sets the pull-down list for the

Pre-event Recording Time

 to

10 seconds

, the DVR4C records for 10 seconds prior to the event.
