Absolute Pressure
: Set this number to the Absolute
atmospheric pressure of the path. If the altitude is entered the
nominal pressure is automatically calculated and displayed.
7.
Light Menus
: this contains the ‘Minimum Acceptable Light’
value which is set at the factory. The value is usually 1000.

Gas Light/R2:
pressing the down key will show the display
as Gas Concentration and a choice of Light Value or R2.

Gas Detection Limits:
this item shows the limit for the gas
concentration. This item is only displayed when the
GasFinder2
has a dual gas system.
10.
Min acceptable R2:
this item allows the user to specify the
value of the confi dence factor below which the concentration
is deemed to be insignifi cant. Operators can adjust this value
to reduce the occurrence of “noisy” readings in the presence
of factors such as steam, traffi c or thermal scintillation.

This item is the same as item 6 but is

Serial Output Menus
: this contains a submenu with two items.
a) The output can be set to 1) Real Time
2) Run Average
3) Block Average
b) The number of readings to compile the average for 2) and 3)
above can be adjusted. Note that the output for a Run Average
will be every second but the value displayed is the average for
the accumalated values chosen. The Block Average is only
displayed after the set number chosen is reached.

Alarm ppmm:
when fi tted, this item allows the user to select
the set-point at which the optional audible alarm will sound. For
more information on the audible alarm option, contact Boreal
Laser Inc.
Note:
The units for the alarm are always in ppmm.
