Dialing Screens
This section describes modem status messages that appear during the connection to your
ISP. This is either when you first connect to your ISP or when the line has been dropped
due to modem inactivity and a reconnection is initiated.
Modem Status Screens
The modem activity screens appear as in the example below. The screen changes as the
modem status changes.
There are three processes in connecting to the ISP and they are reflected in the text
highlighted as follows Dialing, then Connecting and finally Verifying.
Modem Error Messages
If no dial tone is detected, the following message appears:
Check your telephone line connection, then
Choose Try Again to re-attempt the dialing process.
Choose Cancel to quit the dialing process.
