disinfectiOn
If the feed water has a high content of micro-organisms, the
water might develop an odour if the water purifier is not used
for an extended period of time (1 week). It is then necessary to
disinfect it. After the disinfection the filter has to be changed.
The disinfectant, sodium hypochlorite (concentration approx.
3.5%, odourless), can be purchased from supermarkets or
chemists.
The disinfectant must be kept out of reach of chil-
dren! Wash your hands after using it.
Check that the water purifier is in standby mode.
Press the service button, using a pen, until the serv-
ice light comes on. Release the button. The light on
the faucet now flashes rapidly for 15 seconds. This
prevents flushing from taking place during disinfec-
tion.
Disconnect the filter container in accordance with
«Replacing the filter», points 2 - 5. Remove the filter
and discard it (should not be saved).
Fill the container with 7 dl of lukewarm water and
pour in 1/ dl of disinfectant.
Screw the filled container in place.
Start the water purifier and produce pure water for
30 seconds.
While production is in progress, pull out the plug as
shown in fig. . Let the disinfectant work for approx.
30 minutes.
Disconnect the container and insert a new filter into
it, in accordance with «Replacing the filter», points
7 - 8.
Connect the plug.
Close the front cover.
Flush the water purifier in accordance with «Flush-
ing».
Do not use the purified water until flushing is
complete.
The disinfection process is now finished. The water
purifier is ready to be used.

Preserving agents can be ordered from your dealer, see
«Consumables».
The preserving agent must be kept out of reach of
children! Wash your hands after using it.

Close the shut-off valve on the feed water connec-
tion.
Disconnect the feed water hose from the shut-off
valve.
Unscrew the filter container in accordance with «Re-
placing the filter», points 2 - 5. Remove the filter and
discard it (should not be saved).
Put the filter container back in accordance with «Re-
placing the filter», points 8 - 9.
Mix 2 litres of preserving agent and 2 litres of water
in a bucket.
Insert the feed water hose in the mixture, making
sure that the mouth of the hose is constantly below
the surface level of the liquid, see fig. 5.
Start producing pure water. The water purifier now
draws the mixture into it. Stop the production of pure
water once all the liquid has been fed into the water
purifier. Note! The noise produced by the water puri-
fier changes during the first few seconds.
Disconnect the feed water and pure water hose from
the water purifier.
Pull out the plug.
The water purifier is put into storage and can be
kept in this way without the risk of freezing.
