INSTALLATION CODES
This appliance must be installed by a qualified gas appliance installer. This appliance is certified for installation
in a bedroom or a bedsitting room. This appliance is only for use with the type of gas indicated on the rating
plate and may be installed in an aftermarket, permanently located, manufactured (mobile) home where not
prohibited by local codes. This appliance is not convertible for use with other gases, unless a certified kit is
used. Only for direct discharge without duct connection. This appliance must be direct vented using listed and
approved Simpson Dura-Vent, Selkirk, Security or American Metal Products vent components.

HIGH ALTITUDE INSTALLATION
When installing this appliance beyond 4500 ft. (1372 m) above sea level, the appliance must be properly de-rated
and installed according to local codes, in the absence of local codes, with the current National Fuel Gas Code,
ANSI Z223.1/ NFPA 54, in the US or Installation Code, CSA-B149.1, in Canada.
CAUTION
• Due to high temperatures, the appliance should be located out of traffic and
away from furniture and draperies.
• Children and adults should be alerted to the hazards of high surface temperature
and stay away to avoid burns or clothing ignition.
•
Young children should be carefully supervised when they are in the same room
as the appliance.
• Clothing or other flammable material should not be placed on or near the
appliance.
• Installation and repair should be done by a qualified service person. The
Appliance should be inspected before use and at least annually by a
professional service person. More frequent cleaning may be required due to
excessive lint from carpeting, bedding material, etcetera. It is imperative that
control compartments, burners and circulating air passageways of the appliance
be kept clean.
