Consult the Hatz diesel engine’s manual before performing maintenance

Change the engine oil
Check the poly v belt.
Clean the cooling fan, cooling fins and oil cooler.
Check the screw connections.
Clean the screen insert in the exhaust pipe.
Check the water separator.
Check the fuel prefilter for contamination and
change it if necessary.
Check the air filter maintenance indicator.
Every 500 operating hours
Change the fuel prefilter.
Maintain the dry air filter. Change the filter
cartridge.
Check and set the tappet clearance.
Change the engine oil.
Change the oil filter.
Every 1000 operating hours
Change the main fuel filter

Every 2000 operating hours
Renew the gaskets in the belt tensioner or the
complete belt tensioner. (To be carried out by a
trained specialist)
Renew the poly v belt.

Every 3000 operating hours
Clean the EGR valve, EGR housing, and intake
area. (To be carried out by a trained specialist)
