The rotor blades will wear in time, which results in too much clearance
inside the housing. This causes leaks and a lower efficiency and suction
power. A new vulkollan rotor is in diameter approximately 2 mm and in
length about 0,5 mm bigger than the housing.
Check the rotorblades regularly for damages and wear, and replace them if
necessary.
Use Loctite 243 on the bolts when new rotorblades are fitted.
There is a level sensor (11) placed inside the BigBag adapter (13).
It first gives a warning to the operator inside the cabin that the BigBag is almost full.
If the BigBag is not replaced within 5 minutes the rotating valve will shut down
automatically (See chapter 5.7 & 5.8).
The height of the sensor can be adjusted if necessary, loosen the bolts and slide the
sensor up or down.
When the BigBag has been replaced but the touch screen keeps indicating that it is
still full, maybe the sensor has to cleaned. Use a dry, clean, lint-free cloth to carefully
clean the sensor. Never use water, detergents or solvents. These could damage the
sensor.
6.15 BigBag clamp
The BigBags are attached to the BigBag adapter with the clamp (14-18).
The clamp is fitted with a limit switch (16). This indicates if the clamp is open or closed properly, as a safety
measure to prevent unintentional start-up without a BigBag secured in place.
The position of the OPEN/CLOSE-sensor can be adjusted with 2 screws.
When a BigBag is replaced and the
clamp has been closed properly, but
the rotating valves won’t start
again, it could be possible that the
limit switch needs to be adjusted. In
order to make sure the position of
the limit switch is the problem, the
following actions should be carried
out:
-Push in the limit switch.
-Look through the window of the
rotating valves to see if it starts
turning when you push in the limit
switch.
If it starts turning, the position of
the limit switch should be changed.
If it does not start turning, the
wiring of the limit switch should be
checked.
