During operating the 2-45D, the following additional safety instructions must be followed closely.

Operation of the blast unit
5.1 Before blasting
Always make sure the dust collector is connected and turned on before blasting is started!
Check if the distance from magnet to the floor is 16-20mm. Check this height with aluminum strips.
Check the distance from brush sealing to the floor. This may be max. 1 mm.
Fill the separator equally with the selected abrasive up to the bottom of the separator tray (approx.
150 kg). The shot valves must be closed whilst doing this.
When blast cleaning concrete: the shot valves may only be opened when the blast machine is traveling!
If the machine is at a standstill and the shot valves are opened, deep holes may be blasted into the concrete
surface within seconds!
5.2 Blasting with 2-45DTM
A)
Make sure the truck has the required engine RPM’s (Chapter 4.2 step 10).
B)
Activate the magnetic drum by touching “ON” in the magnetic drum section.
C)
Start up the Fan/Compressor unit by touching “ON” in the Fan/Compr. Section.
(the Compressor will start automatically)
D)
Start-up Blast motor 1 by touching “ON” in the Blast motor 1 section.
E)
Start-up Blast motor 2 by touching “ON” in the Blast motor 2 section.
F)
Move the joystick out of the neutral position, slowly forward and drive hydrostatically close to the
point where blasting should start.
Press the “cruise control active” button.(picture 3) and directly after that press the button
“shotvalves both open” function by touching the button on the joystick-box.( picture 3)
From that moment the shot valves will be opened to their last memorized position and the blasting
process starts. Observe the hydraulic pressure of the blast wheels.
Immediately after pushing the “Cruise control active” function the truck will start driving
hydrostatically on the last memorized speed.
It is also possible to adjust the position of the valves whilst driving with the + or - button in their
specific section. (Picture 4)
