G)
Adjust speed as required for the blasting process on the touch screen in the cruise control section
by touching the - button (reduce speed) or the + button (to increase speed) Note, the “memorized
speed” can also be adjusted in advance with the + or - buttons during stand still(picture 5)
The parameters on speed are pressure as well as percentage of max. flow
The functions mentioned in D, E and F can also be controlled directly on the touch screen whilst
driving.
H)
The amount of shot that is fed onto the blast wheels is controlled with the + and – buttons in the
Shot Valve 1 or Shot Valve 2 section. The Shot valves can be opened and closed separately. Using
the “OPEN” button will open the selected shot valve to the position where it was before closing with
the previous setting.
After having blasted approx. 2 meters, close the shot valves, stop the machine and check the blasted
surface. If the blast pattern is irregular it may be necessary to re-adjust the blast pattern. (See chapter
5.5 Adjusting the blast pattern) or select another travel speed for the machine.
To stop the blasting process ALWAYS close the shot valves first!
To stop the truck, pull the Joystick (picture 3) in the neutral position.
(if the valves are not closed, the truck stops, but the valves remain open too long and may cause damage to
the surface) To stop the other running hydraulic devices touch “OFF” in their particular section.
!! NEVER touch the clutch, brake or gas pedal to stop the machine while in hydrostatic mode!
5.3
Switching off the machine
Close the shot valves.
Put the joystick in neutral position.
Switch off the blast wheel motors.
Switch off the magnetic drum motor.
After several minutes switch off the fan.
Reduce the RPM’s to stationary.
Switch off the hydraulic system.
Switch off the electrical system.
Wait for standstill of all drives before any inspection or maintenance works are started.
5.4
Driving backwards
When the Truck has to reverse and drive backwards for more than appr. 10-20mtr. Lift the blast head
from the surface after making sure all running and turning devices on the blast head are switched off. (The
Compressor unit may keep running and pulse the filters clean in the mean while).
To lift the blast head perform the following actions.
A)
CLOSE THE SHOTVALVES AND SWITCH THE BLASTMOTORS OFF!
B)
Switch off the free flow by touching “Off” on the touch screen in the free flow section.
C)
Lift up by touching the upwards arrow (
↑
)
on the touch screen in the Blast head pos. section.
Once the blast head is lifted up, the truck can drive hydrostatically forward or in reverse to the
required spot. Use the joystick. MIND YOUR SURROUNDINGS!
D)
It is also possible to tilt the machine forward or backward by touching the double arrows up
and down on the touch screen in the tilt section.
This tilt function is necessary to allow the blast head to follow the road in the Free Flow position and
also for positioning during attaching the complete unit on the front of the truck.
