IX. INSTALLING CANOPY, PILLOT

X. COWLING
1)
Slide the fiberglass cowl over the engine and
line up the back edge of the cowl with the marks you
made on the fuselage.
2)
While keeping the back edge of the cowl flush
with the marks, align the front of the cowl with the
crankshaft of the engine. The front of the cowl should
be positioned so the crankshaft is in
nearly
the middle
of the cowl opening. Hold the cowl firmly in place using
pieces of masking tape.

Position the canopy so the rear frame on the canopy is
aligned with the fuselage. Use canopy glue to secure
the canopy to the fuselage. Use low-tack tape to hold
the canopy in position until the glue fully cures. Wrap
the tape completely around the fuselage.
