EVICE
To add a new device to the Channel List, press [Ctrl] along with the letter “A”.
You’ll be prompted to enter a name for the device, and then the device’s port
address.
NOTES
Keep in mind that the addresses of devices attached to Serial Control
Cards are comprised of the ServSwitch Multi chassis number, followed
by the Serial Control Card’s slot number, followed by the port number
on the Card. Refer to
Section 4.1
.
You can add devices to the list that you haven’t physically attached
yet, but until you actually install the devices, you won’t be able to edit
their entries as described in
Section 4.5.2
.
When you’ve finished typing in the address, press [Enter] to save the information
and be returned to the Channel List, which will contain the new entry you just
added.
