Tare balancing with known tare
– When a packaged article is weighed, the tare weight must already be known (packaging/
PLU-related tare).
– With multi-division scales, the known tare may only be within the smallest division range.
– After calling up a fixed tare (T1-Tx), or after entering a manual tare, these tares cannot be
overwritten by a PLU tare (PLU tare is ignored).
– A PLU tare cannot be overwritten by a fixed tare (T1-Tx).
– A known (entered) tare cannot be overwritten with an unknown (weighed) tare. The known
tare can be entered in 3 ways.
1. Manual tare
2. Allowing for a tare via the fixed tare key T1 - Tx
3. PLU tare
– In various countries manual tare is not allowed. Manual tare can be switched on or off in
the service menu, under "Adjustment". This menu item can only be accessed when the
balancing bridge of the ADC is closed.
After verification the manual tare may not be changed any more.
