When stopped, the mechanical brakes must engage with an audible
click. Should you notice any unusual braking behavior, please notify
your qualified mobility dealer right away and ensure the wheelchair is
not being used.
The motor brake is functioning correctly if you can’t push the
wheelchair when it is turned off.
Should you nevertheless be able to do so, then the electro-magnetic
brakes are defective. In this case you may no longer use the
wheelchair. Contact your qualified mobility dealer immediately.
6.2.2. Checking the lights and horn
Make sure your lights and horn are functioning properly before each
use.
If a unit under inspection does not react when the corresponding
button on the control panel is pushed, please notify your qualified
mobility dealer immediately and ensure the wheelchair is not being
used.
6.2.3. Inspection of Tires
Before embarking on any journey, check that the tires are in good
condition. Carry out a regular check of the tread depth of the tires
once a month. This should be at least 1 mm.
Any faulty or worn out tires must be changed through the specialist
retailer.
6.3. Batteries
Your wheelchair is equipped with maintenance-free gel batteries
whose fluid level doesn’t need to be checked and which are
electronically protected against total discharge.
Should your wheelchair not be used for a longer time, it should be
connected to the charging unit every 2 months; otherwise a total
discharge could destroy the batteries.
Before driving off, just look at the battery status display on your
control panel to check the charging status of your batteries. If only
the red LEDs light up in the battery status display, then you shouldn’t
drive for longer distances but connect the wheelchair to the charging
unit immediately.
We recommend connecting the charging unit after every use.
Warning!
Do not use a high-pressure or steam cleaner.
Warning!
