3. While the chronograph is activated, you can still switch into other modes. The lap
chronograph will continue to record your time.

Zone Targets

The in- zone icon indicates whether your present heart rate is within your selected target
zone and helps you determine if you are training at the right intensity.
If the middle section flashes, this indicates that your heart rate is within the target zone
and your exercise intensity is correct.

If the

upwards icon flashes, your heart rate is above the target zone.

If the

downwards icon flashes, your heart rate is below the target zone, you will need

to adjust your exercise intensity so that your heart rate falls within the middle section
again.
You can change your zone targets in the Zone Setting function.

Zone Alarm

If you have selected to activate the zone alarm, then there will be 3 beeps every 4 seconds
if your heart rate is above the target zone. If your heart rate is below the target zone, there
will be a single alarm beep every 4 seconds.

No heart rate signal detected (---)

If the sensor does not detect any heart pulse for about 10 seconds after the last detected
heart pulse, then the heart rate reading on the display will become ‘---‘. If no heart pulse
is detected for a period of about 60 seconds after the last detected heart pulse, the heart
rate reading will be blank and both the in- zone icon and the heart icon will disappear.

Auto Voice Announce ment

You can turn this feature on or off in the Time & Date function (please see the section on
Time & Date function for instructions), so that your heart rate is read to you at regular
time intervals of your choice.

Prompting For Voice Announce ment

To hear your heart rate information at any time, press and hold the

Set

 key while the

Exercise Chronograph is running.

Registering a lap, Stopping/starting laps, and saving data

1. When you have finished a lap, press the

Start/Lap/Hold Stop

 button to register the lap.

The display will then show the lap time, the split time, the average heart rate and the
calories consumed in turn, each displaying for 5 seconds.
2. The Lap Chronograph Function will automatically resume and start another lap
Note that you can also press and hold the

Start/Lap/Hold Stop

 button again.

3. You can also stop a lap temporarily by pressing the

Stop/Next

button. The running icon

will disappear and the display will show the lap/split time, the average heart rate and
calories consumed in turn.
4. The Chronograph Function will not resume unless you press the

Start/Lap/Hold Stop

button again, in which case the function will continue with the same lap.
