Proceed in the manner described in this chapter when replacing any expendable
parts. Do not remove any other parts of the device!
The sealing rings of the tapping sword and the CO
2
line (

) as well as the tapping
tip (

cartridge are regarded as expendable parts which must regularly be
checked and replaced if necessary.

Replacing the Sealing Ring of the CO
2
Line and Tapping Tip
If when drawing beer excessive losses of CO
2
are detected, the sealing ring of the CO
2
line (
24
) must be replaced.
If a CO
2
cartridge (
26
) cannot be pierced, the tapping tip (
31
) has become blunt and
needs to be replaced.
1. If there is still a CO
2
cartridge in the device, make sure that it has been completely
emptied (see the “After Use” chapter – “Emptying the Beer Keg and CO
2
Cartridge”).
2. Fold out and unscrew the cartridge sleeve (
16
) on the inside of the lid (
14
).
3. Remove the sealing ring and if necessary the tapping tip from the mount in the lid
using a narrow
fl
at screwdriver or similar tool.
4. Insert a new tapping tip into the mount in the lid if necessary.
5. Place a new seal on the tapping tip and
fi
rmly press together both parts using an
empty (!)
