Fresh Keg (F1 + F2)
The fresh keg has an integrated valve on the top of the keg.
PLEASE NOTE:
On fresh kegs no seal plug needs to be removed and therefore no tool
or universal adapter is required.
1. Remove the seal cap from the keg.
2. Press the fresh keg adapter (

) onto the valve in the keg (

). Ensure that
it
fi
ts securely.
Tapping Into and Connecting the Beer Keg
PLEASE NOTE:
If you have a fresh keg, skip this and the following chapter and follow
the instructions in the “Connecting a Fresh Keg” chapter.
1. Check the lid of the beer keg for any dents or deformations.
PLEASE NOTE:
The
mount (

) of the tapping unit (

) can only engage on the lid of the beer keg if it is
not damaged in any way.
2. Prepare the keg for tapping (see “Preparing the Beer Keg”).
3. Dip the tapping sword (

) under cold, clear water for a short time.
4. Place the tapping sword vertically into the opening of the seal plug or the universal
adapter (

) and press it forcefully and swiftly down into the beer keg until its mount
(

) locks into place on both sides of the keg with an audible click (

5. Make sure that the pressure regulator (

) is at its limit stop in the
– (Minus) posi-
tion,
the tap handle (

) is vertical (

) and the device is switched o
ff
(switch
position
0
).
6. Open the lid (

) by pressing the release button (

).
7. Grip the beer keg by the mount (

) for the tapping unit and insert it into the cooling
container (

).
PLEASE NOTE:
The valve for the beer line (

) must be directed
forwards towards the tap (see also the arrow on the valve unit [

]).
8. Press the beer keg down
fi
rmly on the suction pad on the bottom of the cooling
container.
9. Place the adapter of the beer line (

) into the corresponding valve (
24
) and the valve
for the CO
2
line (

) onto the corresponding adapter (

) (

). Make sure that
the plug connections are as tight-
fi
tting as possible so that no CO
2
can escape and
no beer can leak! They must engage audibly.
Inserting / Replacing the CO
2
Cartridge
PLEASE NOTE!
■
WARNING – Danger of Cold Burns!
The CO
2
cartridge may be very cold after use.
After emptying the CO
2
cartridge, wait for around 10 minutes before replacing it.
■
WARNING – Danger of Cold Burns!
Never pull the CO
2
cartridge out of the device
during operation. Only remove the CO
2
cartridge when it is
completely empty
.
■
Do not use any damaged or iced-up CO
2
cartridges with the device.
■
The CO
2
cartridges should be at room temperature for use.
■
Only insert the CO
2
cartridge when the pressure regulator is at its limit stop in the
– (Minus) position
as otherwise the contents of the CO
2
cartridge will empty into the
device!
■
Do not transport the device with an inserted and pierced CO
2
cartridge.
