XV. Simple Troubleshooting for Electric Treadmill:
Failure or Phenomena
Possible Causes
Troubleshooting
No display on the treadmill
A. no power connection or no power
supply
Connect the power cord to AC, or check the
AC outlet
B. power switch not turned on
Set the power switch to the ON position
C. no power supply to the driver or the
driver is damaged
Press the overload protector again, or
replace the driver
D. open circuit of electronic meter signal
cable
Replace the signal cable and reconnect
properly
E. electronic meter is damaged
Replace the electric meter
F. (LCD) backlight not lit
Repair and check the backlight, or replace
the backlight
Incomplete or fragmented
display
A. faulty soldering or bridging of display
driver IC
Repair and check the soldered joints, and re-
weld properly
B. (LCD) conductive strip slipped or not
fixed in place
Reassemble the LCD
C. display driver IC is faulty
Repair and weld a new display driver IC
Unsmooth, weak
movement or vibration of
the treadmill
A. resistance encountered by the driving
parts
Adjust the driving parts, or add lubricating oil
B. driving belt is too tight or too loose
Adjust the tightness of the belt
C. driver torque is too small or too large Adjust the torque potentiometer to proper
position
