7 AUTO-TRAINING
7.1
DESCRIPTION
The auto-training opcion of the REANIBEX 300 is designed to train people to use the REANIBEX 300
Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).
The option helps to familiarise the user with the use of the REANIBEX 300 in an emergency situation. It
enables the simulation of 8 training scenarios or situations that will help users to learn the techniques for
the use of an AED in an emergency situation. The last two scenarios (number 7 and 8) have ten analysis
cycles that are configurable by the user. The user can indicate in each cycle if he or she wants to
simulate a defibrillable rhythm or a non-defibrillable rhythm.
Before using an AED, users should have participated in an appropriate responder-training program, which
can be carried out with the REANIBEX 300 trainer. This will enable them to be classified as personnel
trained in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) or any other type of methods of
response to emergency situations recognised by the competent authority.
After having received this training, users must be able to demonstrate their ability to deal with patients
showing symptoms of having suffered a sudden cardiac arrest (the patient is unconscious, has no
detectable pulse and is not breathing spontaneously), as well as carry out cardiopulmonary resuscitation,
in addition to knowing the applicable medical protocols and procedures.
The unit can be used with any type of AED manikins. It does not respond to the placing of the electrodes
on the manikins, as there is no electrical connection between the manikin and the unit.
The unit only operates with training batteries, which can be recharged using an external Li-Ion battery
charger.
The unit simulates the charge of energy and the discharge on the patient. There is no high voltage circuit,
energy storage device or electrical contact on the patient. This guarantees the user safety during his
training.
