5. Initial use
Note
You can use the device either with the supplied mains adapter or with batteries.
Inserting the batteries
To operate the device with batteries, you must first insert the
batteries into the EMS circulation stimulator. Proceed as fol-
lows.
1. Open the battery compartment lid on the bottom of the EMS
circulation stimulator.
2. Insert four AA (1.5 V) batteries into the battery compartment.
Make sure that the batteries are inserted the right way round
(+ / -), as shown in the battery compartment.
3. Push the battery compartment closed until you hear and
feel it click into place.
Inserting the batteries in the remote control
To use the remote control, you must first insert batteries in the remote control.
Proceed as follows.
1. Open the battery compartment lid on the bottom of the remote control
by using a pointed object to push the lock back and release the cover.
2. Insert two AAA (1.5 V) batteries into the battery compartment. Make sure
that the batteries are inserted the right way round (+ / -), as shown in the
battery compartment.
3. Push the battery compartment of the remote control closed until you hear
and feel it click into place.
Connecting the mains adapter
To operate the device with the supplied mains adapter, you need to connect
the mains adapter to the EMS circulation stimulator. Proceed as follows:
1. Connect the cable of the mains adapter to the EMS circulation stimulator’s connection
socket.
2. Insert the mains adapter into a suitable socket.
3. If you want to use the device just with the mains adapter, do not insert any batteries in
the device.
WARNING
Trip hazard! Ensure that the mains cable does not pose a trip hazard.
